1. Day:
Mountain bike tour to our Elephant Camp (15 km),
Elephant riding, Tad Sae waterfall & visit Lao lum village:

Elephant Tour Luang Prabang - LaosWe commence this trip by riding our mountain bikes to Ban Panom, the cotton and silk hand-weaving village then continue on to Henri Mouhot's tomb, the French explorer who discovered Angkor Wat.   Here at the Nam Khan River, we are permitted to take a dip in the cool running water of this local tributary.   Heading north en route for Ban Nonsavat, we are finally arriving at the Elephant Village which is situated along the banks of the Nam Khan river. A natural place in the middle of great landscapes.

Along the way our sights are filled with farmers working the land, forests of teakwood, distant mountain vistas, and the smiles of passing locals curious about their observers.

After a lunch break in the wonderful Elephant Village with a breathtaking view to a 600 m high towering rock face, we get an introduction with your Elephant. Enjoy your Elephant ride (1 hour) through green nature. A boat ride will bring you to the cascades of the Tad Sae waterfall, you may take a refreshing bath.

A short walking distance will be covered in the afternoon before we take our places in our host family or bamboo village home stay - fair trek in Luang Prabanghouse.

2. Day: Trekking to Khamu & Hmong village. (6 Hours), back by car.

At the second day we start our trekking to Hmong & Khamu hill tribe villages. Bear witness by sharing a rare opportunity to observe unique aspects of Lao rural life during this day trekking trip and become cognizant of the culture of the Hmong and Khamu hill tribes.   We have many trails to choose from and there are shorter and longer ones. In the end, relieve your hot, exhausted, and aching body by immersing yourself in the cool, refreshing nearby river. We return in the afternoon and go back by car to Luang Prabang.
